Withings Daily Weigh In Best Practices

Last updated March 12, 2025

It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidance on how to stand on the scale as well as placing it on a level surface. Measuring is most accurate when:

  • you’re “towel dry” out of the shower
  • verify correct user and lift foot to switch users if necessary
  • you’re fully hydrated but have not consumed a large amount of water in the last half hour
  • standing with your heels on the second stripe from the bottom/toes to the sides of the screen
  • ensuring your arms don’t touch your sides and your thighs are spaced apart or separated by undergarments
  • and leaning so that you do not see any of the 4 triangle tilt sensors around the display.

We recommend measuring at approximately the same time of day each day, and if possible, either consistently before or consistently after your major bowel movement.

You will occasionally need to update your Withings app as well. With the app open drag the homescreen down to refresh.  Here's some details on how to make sure your scale is syncing to Apple Health  .
